BiographyJonathan served as an advisor and Dean of Students at TAGOS Leadership Academy. He has been a special education teacher for seventeen years before beginning his journey with the opening of TAGOS Leadership Academy in Janesville, WI in 2007. Jonathan has spent the past seven years embracing Project Based Learning, while building relationships with the awesome students at TAGOS Leadership Academy. Jonathan believes that building relationships is essential to helping students move to their next level of achievement. Project Based Learning became part of his personal teaching philosophy while in traditional school and now he is using it in the charter school. Jonathan is proud to be a part of educational reform and the charter movement in Wisconsin and would like to see Project Based Learning as part of traditional school course offerings. Jonathan received his Bachelors’ Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education. He received his Masters degree from Cardinal Stritch University in Educational Leadership. Jonathan is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Innovative Schools Network, A grassroots network of educators creating and nurturing innovative schools by supporting each other in developing high quality, research based resources and strategies for both educators and students. He believes in supporting the development of innovative schools. Sustaining and growing innovation through a statewide network dedicated to continuous improvement. Educators collaborating and changing to better serve students. Jon now works for the Madison Metropolitan School District
