BiographyI graduated from the University of Wyoming with dual majors in Elementary and Special Education and minored in Environmental Studies. During my summers in college, I had the unique opportunity of working as a wildland firefighter and range technician on a Montana National Wildlife Refuge. In the Fall of 2005, I joined the staff at the Northland Pines School District where I spent eight amazing years at the Eagle River Elementary School working as a special education teacher primarily for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Emotional Behavioral Disabilities. My role as advisor at the Northland Pines School of Options and Applied Research-SOAR-began in January of 2013. So far this journey has been one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced. Watching SOAR grow from the early days of just an idea, to a fully functioning successful school is something that I am grateful to be a part of.
