BiographyStephanie Davis has a BA in Liberal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater(2005), a BS in English Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater(2008), a Master's of Education-Professional Development through the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (2011), and a Master’s of Education-Cultural Foundations of Education with a focus on at-risk students and alternative education from UW-Milwaukee (2013). She started with the School District of Janesville during the 2008-2009 school year teaching 9th and 10th grade English at Craig High School. Stephanie came to TAGOS during the fall of 2009 as an advisor/teacher. Stephanie’s transition from a traditional school to a teacher led school is one of many stories in the book Trusting Teachers with School Success: What Happens When Teachers Call the Shots? Stephanie is currently working with the authors of the book and the Center for Teaching Quality to develop resources for teacher-led schools. Stephanie believes building relationships with students is essential to their success and enjoys the “family-like” atmosphere of her advisory. She is responsible for the English Curriculum, Research Skills Development, Academic Planning & Advising, Assessment, Experience Days, Art, Fundraising, Social Media, and Library Resources at TAGOS.
